East London contemporary circus Revel Puck is coming to Ramsgate’s Government Acre from July 9-12 with their new show, The Glimmer Daze Gambit. The high energy family show follows lead characters Stella and Kit as they try to convince the troupe to let them join. They have everything they think they’ll need, but having never seen a circus before it might take a bit of imagination to work out how to use it all. Tickets from £10.
Nish Kumar will play two tour warm up shows at Where Else in Margate on September 1 and 2. Since I originally wrote this, both dates have sold out. Of course they have. But you can try your luck on the waiting list for the Tuesday or Wednesday.
Folk experimentalists Lunatraktors have announced that they will play ARK in Cliftonville on Friday, October 9. Tickets £14.
The Empower Her women's business network will hold a charity fundraising ball at Smiths Townhouse in Broadstairs on Friday, June 26. As well as being an opportunity to meet like-minded female business owners in the area, the event will raise money for Pilgrims Hospices. There will be drinks, canapes and live entertainment too. Tickets £40.
You know how nothing ever happens on a Monday? Like, ever. Well, get ready to change what you think about everything, because the incredible LA Priest has announced a show at Where Else in Margate on June 22. That’s a Monday, if I hadn’t made it clear enough. Monday is the new Thursday. Tickets £14.
What's that? Another Monday event? New networking event BOSS - that’s Business Owners Supporting Sharing - launches on Monday, June 22. Taking place at Olby’s in Margate, the venue’s owner and founder of Margate Soul Festival Eli Thompson will be interviewed by Ramsgate Space’s Louise Brooks. Free tickets.

Bimba Champion, Rupert Willard and Death Row Ceramics are teaming up for The Garden of Earthly Delights, a group art show featuring ceramics, prints and drawings later this year. The exhibition will be on display at Ramsgate’s Italianate Glasshouse Ramsgate from September 11-13.
The first Fair Play indie music market takes place at Bar Nothing in Cliftonville on Sunday, July 12 from 12-3pm. Head down to buy music, merch and other items from local musicians, as well as catch some live performances. Artists involved include Crabs, Lo Barnes, Role Play, Fruit Band and Kkailou.

Good Good Film Club returns to Margate Arts Club on Wednesday, July 8. The mystery film this time will be “a charming Scottish documentary” for fans of Catch Me If You Can, Dead Poets Society and The Imposter. From the photo they’ve shared, I just realised that I’ve seen the film before and it is indeed one that should not be missed. Tickets £5 (or £15 if you’d like a pizza delivered to your seat).
Balearic Boutique returns to the steps outside Turner Contemporary on Saturday, June 27 for a chilled DJ set to soundtrack the sunset. Grab and drink from Louie-on-Sea and a deckchair, then settle into the enjoy the view and the music.
Just over a year since it launched in Margate, new writing performance night Writing in Progress is launching a second monthly event in Ramsgate. The first one will take place at wine bar Penelope on Wednesday, June 24. Follow on Instagram.
Comedian Rachel O’Connor will be running a workshop for women at ARK in Cliftonville on Wednesday, July 8. Titled Find Your Funny, the session will combine comedy and mindfulness to help participants take creative risks, boost their confidence and improve their public speaking skills.
