Ramsgate-based artist Paul Atkins will be showing a collection of paintings, lithographs, etchings, screen prints and monotypes at Projects Kavel Rafferty in Margate on July 22-28 in an exhibition titled Lost Celestial Worlds. 

Award-winning writer Caroline Druitt hosts the first of four creative writing workshops themed on the seasons at Turner Contemporary on Sunday, July 26. The summer edition will focus on surrealism, taking inspiration from the sea, found objects and the work of the gallery’s current exhibiting artist Hulda Guzmán. Tickets £20.

Turner Contemporary’s first exhibition of 2027 will be Natural Magic: Women, Art, Spirit Worlds. Curated by former Editor of Friez Jennifer Higgie, it will explore esotericism, spiritualism, and feminism through the work of women artists from the nineteenth century to the present day. It will expand on Higgie's book The Other Side: A Journey into Women, Art and the Spirit World. The exhibition will run from February 13 to June 6

Business discussion and networking event Seaside CEO returns to the Royal Temple Yacht Club in Ramsgate on Thursday, July 30. Looking at selling on and offline, a panel discussion will feature Alison Lewy MBE who has helped brands get stocked in major retailers, Becky Simms, founder of successful Kent agency, Reflect Digital, advising on online sales strategies, and Ramsgate resident, Anja Hessler, who is an expert in building and managing customer data. Vestiges: Time, Propriety and Emotion is an exhibition looking at the emotional baggage of items we chose to keep or let go. Curated by Madi Hough and Emmna Wichert, it’s running at Ramsgate’s Madsen Sylvester Studio until August 29.
