Halloween 2025: Parties, club nights, films, and more
Nights out for Halloween 2025 in Thanet and beyond, including film screenings, book talks, hang outs and club nights

As the nights turn darker, we head towards Halloween - one of the biggest party nights of the year. If anything, these days it’s a whole party week. And as always, Thanet more than delivers.
If you want to dress up and have a big blow out, you’re more than catered for. But there are all kinds of events on offer. Maybe you want to play spooky board games, or get intellectual about horror movies, or watch a classic movie with the entire soundtrack replaced by one person’s voice. These are all things you can do over the next week. Maybe you want to shun Halloween entirely in favour of celebrating the Celtic new year, Samhain. There’s a whole festival for that.
We’ve pulled together all of the best Halloween-themed parties, club nights and get-togethers this week to get your spooky fix. Dressing up (in most cases) is optional.
If you’re looking for events for kids, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered right here:

Now, here are our choices of things for adults to do…
Watch a scary movie…
Culty Film Club at Faith in Strangers
Culty Film Club will be screening George Romero’s 1968 horror classic Night of the Living Dead. Pretty decadent as film clubs go, the night will kick off with a four course meal, followed by a film quiz, before the projector is fired up.
Wednesday, October 29, 6.30pm to 10.30pm. Faith in Strangers, 17 Ethelbert Crescent, Cliftonville, CT9 2DY. Tickets £55.
The Monster Speaks: Frankenstein at CAMP
This is a film screening with a difference, with the brilliant 1931 version Frankenstein playing without sound. Well, without its original sound. Instead, theatre maker Ocean Stefan will attempt to recreate all of the sound in the film - dialogue, music, sound effects and all - using only their voice.
Friday, October 31, 6.30pm to 7.15pm. CAMP, 125 Northdown Road, Cliftonville, CT9 2QY. Tickets £5.
Test your spooky knowledge…
Halloween Quiz at the George & Heart
The George & Heart’s raucous quiz, overseen by quizmaster Owain, is back with a Halloween-themed edition. Think you know about spooky stuff? Now’s the time to find out.
Wednesday, October 29, 7.30pm to 10.30pm. George & Heart, 44 King Street, Margate, CT9 1QE. Entry £2 per person.
Feeding the Monster with Anna Bogutskaya at Fort Road Hotel

Thursday, October 30, 7pm to 9pm. Fort Road Hotel, 18 Fort Road, Margate, CT9 1HF. Free tickets.
Celebrate Samhain…
A Dead Good Festival in Margate
Marking the witches’ new year Samhain, this four day celebration of magic and mysticism has a wide array of events, including live music, film screenings, talks, workshops, rituals and more. We’re looking forward to AUTOHAUs and Black Market Karma’s live music and visuals, the Samhain procession, and the actual Charlotte Church performing sound rituals down in the Shell Grotto.
