The best pubs and restaurants for Sunday lunches in Margate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and out into the towns and villages of East Kent

Autumn is carb season. When the nights are dark and the air is crisp, wrapping up the weekend with a gravy, spuds, trimmings and pudding is a special kind of comfort. In a pub is even better.

But what makes a good Sunday roast in a pub? A cosy nook, an open fire, too many potatoes, a large glass of red and a difficult choice come dessert? A non-lethargic vegan option too, perhaps?

While opinions may differ on what makes a good pub roast, we have enough choice in our little corner, you can find A Sunday lunch that hits the spot for you.

From traditional pub lunches and relaxed affairs to something a little more bougie and occasion dining, here are some of the best Sunday roast across Thanet and in Kent towns and villages further afield. We’ve tried to cover a range of budgets and dietary requirements. Let us know your favourite.
