Rise Up, Clean Up is calling for volunteers to help weed Margate’s promenade on Tuesday in an effort to prevent Kent County Council’s plans to use weedkiller glyphosate in the area. The dangerous chemical is already banned by Thanet District Council. Meet at the clocktower at 8am. More info.

Ramsgate Arts Club will be hosting four consecutive nights of double bill previews this week with Tom Houghton and Phil Nichol (Wednesday), Sara Barron and Sophie Duker (Thursday), Hasan Al Habib and Dee Allum (Friday), and Lenny Sherman and Patrick Monahan (Saturday). Tickets £15 per night

Margate Pride’s Summer Quiz will take place at Cliftonville Community Centre on Wednesday, raising money for this year’s Pride and celebrating the event’s tenth anniversary. Tickets £12

As part of its fifth birthday celebrations, Cliftonville record shop Ghost Papa will be taking over Margate’s Sun Deck on Friday with Kit Proudfoot from Big Woes and Tim & Shirley from Margate Radio spinning the tunes.

The Barefoot Planter hosts three family-friendly mindful planting workshops throughout the day at Turner Contemporary in Margate on Sunday. Tickets £3.50.
