The Psychedelic Society has a couple of workshops coming up at Bar Nothing in Cliftonville. On Tuesday, Darren le Baron looks at the mythologies, spiritual practices and sacred rites that are connected to psychedelics. Tickets £15. Then, on Wednesday, Darren returns to guide you through the basics of mushroom cultivation and how you might grow your own eating and medicinal mushrooms at home. Tickets £50.
Gurriers are set to play Where Else in Margate on Wednesday. Tickets £15.
Drag artist Father JC will be performing Father JC’s Holy Show at the Tom Thumb Theatre in Cliftonville on Wednesday and Thursday. Tickets £14.

The first Kent Pop Exchange showcase is set to take place at Where Else in Margate on Thursday. Tickets £5.

The Rare Steak Supper Club is putting on a three course feast at Seabird in Ramsgate on Friday. £40 a head.
Cliftonville bottle shop Drops is hosting an Oktoberfest Drink-in event on Friday.
Performance artist Ted Rogers will be running a four hour dance workshop at TKE Studios in Margate on Friday. Tickets £22.38.
ELZ and friends will be at CAMP in Cliftonville on Friday. Tickets £6.
The Rising Tide Craft Beer Festival takes place on Friday and Saturday at Canterbury Cathedral Lodge. Entry fee includes a £10 beer token. Tickets £25.
Girl Hike and Esoteric Isle host a country walk which will have a spooky theme through Selling and Perry Wood on Saturday. Places £30.
Katie McGarry will be performing her one-woman comedy musical You’re Not in the West End Now at the Arden Theatre in Faversham on Saturday. Tickets £10.
Cockles and Muscles’ Halloween Ball takes place at Margate Arts Club on Saturday. Tickets are £10.
Margate’s Crab Museum’s fourth birthday party is at Where Else on Saturday. Tickets £9.69.
The Write a Complete Short Story workshop returns to the Turner Contemporary on Sunday. Tickets £47.

The Old Curiosity Shop in Broadstairs has activities for kids every day, including Lego Day on Tuesday and cookie making on Wednesday.
Quex Adventure Park has a Trick Or Treat Trail for younger children all week. Those aged 11+ might prefer Halloween Fest, which runs on Saturday and Sunday. Book tickets.
Social Enterprise Kent on Margate High Street is hosting a family-friendly tile making workshop with Tiles of Joy on Tuesday, 11am to 1pm. Tiles will be included in a permanent display at the Crab Museum.
Margate Youth Pride is hosting drop-in activities for kids aged 8+ at Olby’s in Margate on Wednesday, 10am to 1pm, as part of Black History Month. There will be zine and flag making, and Indian Ocean Creole drumming.
Margate Film Festival and animation company 1927 are hosting a drop-in animation workshop at the Turner Contemporary in Margate on Wednesday, 10am to 4pm.
Ramsgate’s Micro Museum is open today and next Saturday, 1-4pm, for your vintage computer and console fix.
