Bottleneck in Broadstairs hosts a wine tasting sesh in its delightful courtyard on Monday. Hosted by Kent’s Biddenden Vineyard, it’s £35 a head.
Broadstairs beach will be lit up with a massive (and free) fireworks display on Wednesday night at 9.15pm. If you can make it down, there will be another display on August 27. Full details.
Unpacking the relationship between the patriarchy and representations of witches, Seed Talks brings talk The History of Witchcraft and Women with Dr Jennifer Farrell to Canterbury on Thursday. Tickets £17.58.
The Old Curiosity Shop in Broadstairs is putting on a family-friendly mermaid life drawing class on Friday. £5 per person with all materials provided.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show screens at the Carlton in Westgate on Friday and Saturday to mark 50 years of vampy campy fun and Tim Curry’s legs in fishnets. Tickets £3.50.
MOP will pop up at the Bus Cafe on Friday and Saturday for bold and addictive bites like their beer battered tenderstem.
The inaugural RIPE arts festival will take place at Margate Arts Club from Friday to Saturday. The line up includes DJs Narmy and OG, singer-songwriter Antony Hurley, a movement workshop, craft fair and cabaret night. Individual events £9, full weekend £30.
The Greenwich+Docklands International Festival in London will return on Friday until September 6, with a free programme of world class outdoor arts performances. See the full line up.
Queer Cuntry is putting on an all-dayer at Signature Brew in Walthamstow on Saturday from 2pm to 1am. Tickets £20.
If you’re into emo and pop-punk, the Beers & Tears festival at Curious Brewing in Ashford on Saturday is for you. Live music from 2-8pm, then DJs until late. Free entry.
The Sex Pistols with Frank Carter on vocals will be playing Dreamland in Margate on Saturday with support from the Stranglers and the Buzzcocks. Tickets £72.50.
Lithuania DJ Manfredas headlines the next Movement night at Faith in Strangers in Cliftonville on Saturday. Tickets £11.50.
The Boing! International family arts festival returns to Canterbury’s Gulbenkian Arts Centre on Saturday and Sunday, with a mix of free and ticketed events. Full line up.
The Brogdale Cider Festival is on at the Brogdale Collections in Faversham on Saturday and Sunday with cider, live music, food, and family-friendly activities. Family tickets £35.
Ramsgate wine bar Penelope has Cafe Mambo Ibiza resident Jim Breese DJing on Saturday, then Al Sandler and Rory D from o.utlier on Sunday - both from 5pm.
Screaming Alley is putting on an all day cabaret on Sunday from 2pm to 9.30pm at Radford House in Ramsgate. Tickets from £5.
