So, last week it was our 100th edition. This week it's our second birthday! The milestones just keep rolling in, don't they?
Exactly two years and one day ago we hit send on the very first Strange Tourist newsletter. It looked quite different. Like this, if you must know. Things have changed a lot since then but the basic idea remains the same - to bring you the best culture and lifestyle in Thanet (and beyond), while connecting up its three towns and surrounding area.
Elsewhere in Thanet, we were pretty chuffed to see that we made the local news ourselves this week, with our affiliate community interest company, Paddle Media. Having delivered workshops to a number of primary and secondary schools in Broadstairs and Ramsgate, the initial pilot run has come to an end. We’re now planning for round two, working out how to spark more creativity and curiosity among more young people in Thanet.
And lastly, a big thanks to all our subscribers. A lot of work goes into keeping this thing running, and your support not only ensures that it keeps ticking along, but that it gets better all the time.
