Wild Life Drawing is back at Fort Road Hotel on Thursday, July 24 and this time the models are wolves. British Lupine Wolf Dogs, to be exact, because putting actual wild wolves in a room probably isn’t the best idea. Whatever, if it looks like a wolf and moves like a wolf, let’s call it a wolf. As you draw, you’ll also learn about the animals, and 10% of your ticket price will be donated to Wolf Watch UK. Tickets £35.
Unpacking the relationship between the patriarchy and representations of witches, Seed Talks brings talk The History of Witchcraft and Women with Dr Jennifer Farrell to Canterbury. On Thursday, August 21 at 7pm, the talk will cast a feminist slant on medieval ideas on magic, gender, sexuality and ritual as well as the stereotype of a warty old hag on a broom to connect the dots between theology, demons and the emergence of witchcraft at the end of the middle ages. Tickets from £13.27.
Northdown Road Block Party is here once again on Saturday, July 26, with a stack of deals and discounts. The likes of The Good Egg, Mori Mori, Camp, Ghost Papa, Sunshine Tattoos and Tat Agent getting involved. Check Instagram for details.
