Incoming: Mr Scruff, Nerina Pallot, bOing Family Arts Festival

Mr Scruff will be back in Margate for an extended DJ set at the Drill Shed on Friday, October 23. Playing a five hour set, the Manc DJ is known for taking the crowd on a dancefloor journey, from funk and soul, to disco, afro beat and house. Earlybird tickets £18. 

Ted Rogers will run a dance workshop at TKE Studios on Thursday, July 2. The session will be anchored by contemporary dance, improv and personal exploration. All abilities welcome. Tickets from £22.38.

Neptunes Choir have announced a summer festival at the Sarah Thorne Theatre in Broadstairs on Friday, September 4. They will be joined by the Kings Place Choir, Pony Arts Club, and Jem Cooke, as well as DJs The High, The Hambassador and Jonathan Henfrey. Tickets £15. 

Nerina Pallot will perform live at St George’s Church in Ramsgate on Thursday, October 8. She headlined the Royal Albert Hall last month, so this really is an amazing opportunity to see her in a more intimate setting. Tickets £22.50.

Pro Wrestling Colossus puts on its biggest ever show, Rumble by the Sea 2026, at the Drill Shed in Cliftonville on Saturday, July 4. The big name in the ring will be former WWE NXTUK tag-team champion ​​Mark Andrews, but there will be 30 fighters battling it out in total, including (and I just messaged him to confirm this is true) Margate’s very own sweet treat provider Cookie Man. Tickets £16.75.

Margate’s Red Telephone night is teaming up with South London's Red Light to bring DJ duo Tia Cousins and Ruf Dug to Margate Arts Club on Saturday, July 11. Expect an eclectic and left field mix of dance music. Also on the bill are Andrew Nicholls and Damo. Tickets £12.50.

Chewy She is set to headline Ramsgate Music Hall on Saturday, July 4. Expect disco grooves with punk energy and great outfits. Tickets £15. 

The bOing! Family Arts Festival returns to Canterbury’s Gulbenkian Arts Centre on August 29-30. Free to enter, many of the performances and activities are also free. Ticket prices for paid events are capped at £7.50. See the full programme.
