Margate Mushroom Club hosts a performance from Waterflower, who makes electronic music using plants and mushrooms on Wednesday at 101 Social in Cliftonville. Entry £5.
The next Writing in Progress writers open mic night will take place at Off Licence in Cliftonville on Wednesday. Entry is free.
Babeslam Battle of the Champs will be at Where Else in Margate on Wednesday. Tickets £6.39.
Ramsgate Noise Institute returns on Thursday as a warm up for Ramsgate Festival of Sound. Find it at Unit 2, St Lawrence Industrial Estate. Register for free tickets.
The next exhibition from Frnt of House will be at Joseph Wales Studios from Thursday to Sunday. Titled Keep It Down Please, it will feature “postcard-sized works that say more than ‘wish you were here’.”
Margate Electronics is back at Margate Arts Club on Friday. Performing live will be Timothy J Fairplay, Chupacabras and Cestrian. Tickets £10.
Sugababes and Melanie C are set to play Dreamland on Friday. Tickets £61.30

The Love Booth art project hosts an exhibition of photobooth pictures at Ramsgate’s Crane Shed from Friday to Sunday. On the final day at 2pm, Strange Tourist’s Zita Whalley will host a Q&A with the project’s Karen Vost.
St George’s Church in Ramsgate will be giving tours of its tower and crypt on Saturday. Free tickets.
Margate Radio Block Party is back. DJs from the station will soundtrack a day in The Centre in Margate, from 12-5pm on Saturday.
Margate Black Pride puts on a summer party at Margate’s Sundeck on Saturday from 2-10pm.
V&A East Storehouse opens its free David Bowie archive on Saturday. Full details.
Ramsgate Historic Quarter opens up three of the old sea captains cottages on Paradise in Ramsgate on Saturday from 12-6pm. Free entry.
