Margate Tap Takeover will return from Friday to Sunday, bringing lots of guest beers to pubs and bars around the town. 

Margate’s TKE Studios launches two new exhibitions on Saturday, The Journey by Jack Hirons and Ramsholt by Johnnie Shand Kydd. Following an opening preview from 6-8pm on Saturday, they’ll be on display until June 7.

Women-only social group Gal & Gather celebrates its first birthday with a special meet up at Flowers & Felicities in Broadstairs on Saturday. Tickets £50.

The Music is Black: A British Story, opens at V&A East in London on Saturday, looking at how Black British music has shaped British culture. Tickets from £22.50.

Comedian Charlie Partridge performs his new show Treasure Hunt for Billionaires at Ramsgate’s Alley Bar on Saturday. Tickets £12.50

Craig Charles DJs at The Drill Shed in Cliftonville on Saturday. Tickets £17.50.

Margate’s Turner Contemporary hosts a drawing masterclass with renowned artist Michael Landy on Sunday. Tickets £20

Vintage market Sunday Session will be at Gather& in Ramsgate on Sunday, selling streetwear and designer menswear, furniture, records, art and more. 

Join a free zine making workshop with Jen Scott (aka Shelly Grotto) from 11am to 1pm at CAMP in Cliftonville on Sunday, as part of People United’s Queer Coastal Zine project.

Japanese psychedelic rock band Acid Mothers Temple return to Ramsgate Music Hall on Sunday. Tickets £17.50
