Last weekend's Margate Pride tenth anniversary really went off with a bang. It's always a breathtaking experience to come down Fort Hill past the Turner and see the sheer number of people out on Marine Drive. This year felt bigger than ever.
With a party atmosphere spreading across the town, speeches at Dreamland helped to remind us why Pride is still so important. Although the thing I most enjoyed hearing all day were everyone's theories on where Madonna's secret performance was going to be.
She was - as I think everyone knew would be the case, really - a no show in the end. I hear she actually played a house party in Ramsgate.
As things die down, there's still plenty of Pride activity around Margate throughout the rest of this month, not least the annual Pride Art Trail. And don't forget that we still have Ramsgate and Broadstairs Prides coming up in September.
This week, we've been thinking about wine. Specifically Kentish wine, which is having a bit of a moment. Once considered a punchline, British wine generally is becoming more significant as the climate changes and growing conditions improve.
Kent now has more than 150 commercial vineyards, many of which you can visit. That's a lot though. For this week's feature, we've narrowed it down to our 11 favourites, where you can go to sample some want and wander among the vines.
