After five years at the TKE Studios, The Perfect Place To Grow has moved out of its training kitchen and cafe and is looking for a new site. While the CIC looks for bricks and mortar, it will continue with events, parties and fundraisers.
Pie Factory Music in Ramsgate’s bike workshop, which teaches young people aged 11-17 to fix up and maintain bikes has proven so successful it’s found itself with more refurbished bikes than it knows what to do with. To overcome this, they’ve teamed up with bicycle charity Re-Cycle, which ships bikes to Africa, helping people in remote communities access school, work and healthcare.

Broadstairs plant shop, cafe and bar Foliage is up for sale. Originally opened in Ramsgate in 2022, the business moved to a larger premises in Broadstairs in May 2025. “We’re really proud of what we’ve built but it’s time for us to move on,” says owner Kelley Wilson, adding that she wants to spend more time with her family.
