Wild Life Drawing is back at Gather& in Ramsgate on Wednesday, February 25. This time around the models will be wolf pups. It’s open to all abilities and children over 8 are welcome, if accompanied by an adult. Tickets £35 with 10% donated to Wolf Watch UK.

Marking its 25th anniversary this year, Margate Soul Weekender has announced a run of shows at its new permanent venue The Drill Shed in Margate Lido. The series begins on Saturday, April 18 with a DJ set from Craig Charles (Tickets £17.50), followed by a live performance from Jalen N’Gonda on Wednesday, April 29 (Tickets £28.50), and Kruder & Dorfmeister marking the 30th anniversary of their classic K&D Sessions compilation on Saturday, May 22 (Tickets £31.74). More shows are set to be announced in the coming weeks.
Blur drummer Dave Rowntree will be appearing at the Astor Theatre in Deal on Saturday, March 7 sharing stories and photographs of the band’s early years from his new book No One You Know. Tickets £19.50.
The Bedford Inn in Ramsgate is opening a new venue in its basement. Called Downstairs, it will hold its opening night on Saturday, February 28 with an evening of live music. Performing will be Lucy Taylor, Rosko Piko and Morrison Ford. Tickets £10.
Blues festival Broadstairs Blues Bash takes place from Wednesday, February 18 to Sunday, February 22. In total, 130 acts will play in 26 venues around the town. Most of the shows are free. Find out more.
Brighter Days Markets is hosting Makers of Tomorrow, free print and stitch workshops for children aged 13-18 at Pie Factory in Margate on February 16-17. The workshops will be led by experienced designers and textile makers. There will also be the opportunity to discuss the pathways to becoming a professional craft maker. Register to take part.
Following the success of the initial sessions recently, Laughter Yoga has added two more events to the calendar. Kick off your week with a LOL at 9am on Monday, February 15 or wind down for the weekend at 6pm on Thursday, March 5. Both sessions take place at Hold Creative Spaces in Ramsgate. Tickets £6.
Levellers frontman Mark Chadwick will be performing at Ramsgate Music Hall on Saturday, March 28. He’ll perform songs from his two solo albums as well as some Levellers classics. Tickets £25.
Late filmmaker and artist Derek Jarman’s former home Prospect Cottage in Dungeness will reopen to the public on Wednesday, March 18 until Sunday, December 6. As well as seeing inside the house itself, you will find artworks and personal artefacts from Jarman’s life. Entry is £22, or £12 for under 25s. Book a timed slot.
The Gap Project is hosting a Pancake and Pyjama Party at Queens Road Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 17 from 9am to 10.30am. Who wants to get dressed during half term? No one. Roll out in your nightwear for activities and food (including pancakes, obviously). Free entry.
Charly Clive and Ellen Robertson - aka comedy double act Britney - will be performing a work in progress sketch show at CAMP in Cliftonville on Wednesday, May 27. Tickets £12.
This Bean Spins will be hosting a half term Circus workshop for children aged five and up at Centenary Hall in Ramsgate on Thursday, February 19. There will also be a hula hoop performance and interactive bubble show. Tickets £9 - Email thisbeanspins@gmail.com to book.
Junkyard Gaming will be back filling another room with retro gaming consoles on Sunday, February 22. Taking place this time at the Tom Thumb Theatre in Cliftonville, you’ll be able to play on all the consoles you remember from your youth and others long forgotten from 2pm to 8pm. Entry £5 on the door.
Thao Thao in Margate is putting on a Lunar New Year Festival later this month, with events in various venues around the town on February 21-25. This includes a kids craft workshop at People Dem Collective, party at Where Else, Tai Chi at Margate Yoga Studio and more. See the full programme.
