Marlowe Theatre’s Writers’ Room Festival runs Tuesday to Sunday, boasting new writing and regional talent plus writerly discussions and workshops. Full programme.
The Nao Santa María, a replica of the lead ship in Christopher Columbus’ fleet, will be docking in Ramsgate from Wednesday to Sunday ready for you to step aboard. Tickets £10.
Short film Paradise screens at CAMP in Cliftonville on Wednesday at 7pm. Followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers and with pay what you can tickets going to support Margate Pride, the flick is about trans/non-binary artist and gardener Mol Benge and an exploration of their identity through horticulture and artistic practice. Broadstairs’ Bottleneck will host an outdoors Portuguese wine masterclass in its courtyard on Thursday. £55 per head.
Wild Life Drawing is back at Fort Road Hotel on Thursday and this time the models are wolves. Tickets £35.
Windmill Community Gardens in Cliftonville will hold its Summer Fair on Friday from 12-3pm. Family tickets £6.
Westwell Wines near Ashford is hosting a family workshop making ceramic plates decorated using foraged materials on Friday. Places are £30.
Sea Spirit and Stones returns to Stone Bay for a family circle on Friday - a 2.5 hour session filled with meditation, a family swim, and healing music. Tickets are £20 for adults, with children going for free.
Head to Monkton Reserve on Saturday from 10.30am-11.45am for a gentle yoga and journaling session. Tickets £14.
Northdown Road Block Party is here once again on Saturday with a stack of deals from local businesses and a general party vibe all along the street.
As Pride celebrations ripple along the East Kent coast, on Saturday it’s the turn of Folkestone Pride. There are lots of activities planned, with the parade starting at 1pm.
