After five years at the TKE Studios, **The Perfect Place To Grow has moved out of its training kitchen and cafe** and is looking for a new site. While the CIC looks for bricks and mortar, it will continue with events, parties and fundraisers.

**Pie Factory Music in Ramsgate’s bike workshop**, which teaches young people aged 11-17 to fix up and maintain bikes has proven so successful it’s found itself with more refurbished bikes than it knows what to do with. To overcome this, they’ve **teamed up with bicycle charity Re-Cycle**, which ships bikes to Africa, helping people in remote communities access school, work and healthcare. 

**Writer and poet Rebecca Perry was shortlisted for the Booker Prize this week**. This is local news - if you’re wondering - because she happens to be **one of the authors booked to appear at this year’s Margate Bookie** literary festival on Saturday, October 17\. **Broadstairs plant shop, cafe and bar Foliage is up for sale**.
