**Ramsgate’s Look Mum No Computer** turned in a stellar performance at the **Eurovision Song Contest** last weekend, full of energy, joy and audience participation. For this, he was awarded **one single point** by the juries (Ukraine’s, specifically) and nothing in the public vote. He looked like he had fun though. And he’s got a new t-shirt out of it. **Although not strictly true, it does bear the worthwhile slogan** [**Look Mum No Points**](https://store.lookmumnocomputer.com/?ref=strangetourist.co.uk).

**BBC Three sitcom Things You Should Have Done**, starring Lucia Keskin and set in Ramsgate, has been **renewed for a third series**. Production company Roughcut announced the news this week, although there’s **currently no word on when it might appear on our screens**.

**Minnis Bay, Botany Bay, Joss Bay and Ramsgate Main Sands beaches in Thanet have been awarded Blue Flags**, with a further eight receiving Seaside Awards. The global awards - presented by Keep Britain Tidy in the UK - recognise well-managed beaches with excellent water quality and environmental education programmes. **Turner Contemporary’s An Apple a Day** educational programme has received named **Highly Commended in the Learning Programme of the Year category at the 2026 Museums + Heritage Awards**. Held alongside Anya Gallaccio’s exhibition at the gallery, the programme worked to create opportunities for schools, families and young people to creatively connect with the themes of the show.

**Thanet District Council is asking the public for their views on its draft biodiversity strategy before it is finalised**. The document is a framework designed to protect and restore the district's unique natural environment, addressing biodiversity loss and climate change. It contains a number of proposals to achieve this. [**Read it and have your say**](https://yourvoice.thanet.gov.uk/en-GB/projects/thanet-biodiversity-strategy?ref=strangetourist.co.uk).
