**Alley Bar in Ramsgate has launched its Friday night games night**. **Author Fiona Robertson discusses her new book Stone Lands at Fort Road Hotel in Margate on Thursday, June 11**. Part memoir, part travelogue, the book tracks Robertson’s personal grief following her husband’s diagnosis with terminal cancer as she travels around Britain’s ancient standing stones. **ARK in Cliftonville will be screening 2025 documentary The Librarians on Thursday, June 25**. The film explores political polarisation and the wave of book banning that is sweeping public schools and libraries in the USA. **Following the screening there will be a panel discussion**, with author Dean Atta, Naomi Evans from Everyday Racism, banned book collector Conor Sansby and Margate Queer Library’s Sé M. Luxe Broadstairs bottle-o, **The Bottleneck’s next wine tasting evening is with the gang from Esporão on Wednesday, July 29**. The established Portuguese winemakers will guide you through a selection of some of Portugal’s finest drops of red and white. Tickets include sharing platters that come with Esporão’s own extra virgin olive oil. **Gal + Gather are making the most of the warm weather and heading to Namaka on Stone Bay for a coffee and yap session**. There will also be chilling, swimming, sunbaking and an açai bowl, if you like. **On Saturday June 6, from 11am-2pm**. 

**Ceramicist Lindsey Mendick**’s show Where You End and I Begin opens at **the Carl Freedman gallery in Margate on June 27**. 

**Saturday, June 27** is also when the latest **Tracey Emin Artist Residency cohort present their final show** **at TKE Studios**.

**Positive party Optimissimo is back at Margate Arts Club on Saturday, June 20**. Residents Milski and Orac-808 will be joined in spinning good vibes only by guest DJ Scott Martin. **Musicians Patrick Wolf and Sophie Crawford are teaming up for Invert Folk Club at ARK in Cliftonville on Saturday, August 8 as part of Margate Pride**. Currently a one-off event, there will be a matinee and evening performance of unplugged folk music. Despite living in Ramsgate for the last six years, this will be Patrick’s first show in Thanet and it promises to be a special one. Perhaps old news to some, but **plant-based fine dining outfit Aster in Broadstairs puts on a roast for charity the last Sunday of every month**. It’s three courses for £35 a head, with all money going to the charity of the month. **On Sunday, June 28, tuck into a mushroom wellington with all the trimmings to support Dottie’s Little Hog Hospital**. Sittings are at 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm. 

**Next month, Aster will put on an extra roast Father's Day, June 21**. This one is two courses for £25, with **money going to the Green Tara Animal Sanctuary**. Sittings are 12pm, 2pm and 4pm. 

If you missed the **People’s Emergency Briefing** at Ramsgate Community Cinema recently, there’s another chance to catch it next month. **The Chris Packham fronted climate change documentary will be showing at Where Else in Margate on Thursday, June 25**. The screening will be followed by a discussion and there will be food provided. **Margate Dating will launch with a Singles Social at Margate Beach Club on Friday, June 19**. Aiming to be a relaxed get together, you can try to find a match without the swiping or just make some new friends. As part of a massive UK tour, **new play Ghost House will be coming to Ramsgate’s Granville Theatre on Tuesday, March 9 2027**. Blending supernatural horror and psychological thriller it tells the story of three friends alone on a remote island with an uninvited presence. **The Nao Victoria**, a replica of the historic ship that was the first to complete a circumnavigation of the globe in 1522, **returns to Ramsgate next month**. It will dock in the harbour from June 4-14, welcoming guests on board.
