**The return of Ramsgate International Film Festival & TV Festival, a night of apocalyptic folk, stand up from Daniel Foxx, and more. Upcoming events in Thanet and beyond.** 

Following a year off in 2025, the **Ramsgate International Film & TV Festival returns for its ninth edition this year**, taking place in venues around the town on **March 26-29**. **A Night for Weird Folk returns to Margate Arts Club on Friday, March 6** with Folkopalypse, a dry run for the end of the world. There will be campfire songs, mask-making, a barn dance, morris dancing and prize for the best apocalypse-themed costume. Due to the cost of setting up a portal to a parallel universe in the venue’s doorway, there will be an entry fee. Stand up comedian **Daniel Foxx** will be performing his new show How Lovely at **Where Else in Margate on Thursday, March 5**. “Daniel was determined to handle his Big Breakup with the grace of Julia Roberts. He didn’t. **Good Good Film Club** will be screening another **mystery movie at Margate Arts Club on Thursday, February 19**. This one is for fans of Gravity, Alien and the Blair Witch Project, say organisers. If you missed **Pink Suits’ show Dance Me to the End of Love** at Margate’s Quench Gallery in 2024, it is set to be staged again as part of **Battersea Art Centre in London’s Bloom Festival on May 16**. Roaming around an art installation, the piece explores the artist couple’s relationship to the soundtrack of a Leonard Cohen live album. Holistic coach Ana Gouveia will lead **Inner Lab**, a one day **wellness retreat** at **Foreness Waterski & Boat Club in Palm Bay on Saturday, March 21**. Aiming to help you reconnect with your body and build self-awareness, the day will feature a mix of lectures, seated meditations, walking meditations, and a humming session. **Upgrade your old clothes with a new screen print** at **Where Else in Margate on Friday, February 6** as part of Loose End Studio’s Thank Your God For Cr\*p Art screen print and risograph exhibition. **Jon Ronson will discuss his new book The Castle at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury on Tuesday, September 29**. His first book for 11 years, it sees him attempt to discover what happened behind the walls of a mysterious castle deep in the forests of New England. The live show includes footage - some of it previously lost - to give a deeper insight into the story. Currently closed, the **Potting Shop in Margate will be opening up on February 13-14** for those last minute Valentine’s gifts. Owner Katie Heward says, “We are very excited to open (even if it is brief) for Valentine’s Weekend! **The future is unsure for the shop**, so it would be great to catch up with you over these couple of days.”
