**Bucolic supper clubs, urinating women, raves, soundscapes and a funghi festival - there's lots of good things to do coming to Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate.**

**Artist Sophy Rickett will be in Margate** to discuss the new edition of her era-defining 1994 book **Pissing Women** later this month. The new version of the photobook featuring images of women urinating in public is bolstered by essays from musician St Vincent, actor Lily Cole, comedian Sophie Duker and more. A couple of markets are coming our way. The **Teenage Market** will have 31 stalls run by young local business owners, aged 8 to 24\. This one is on at **Pierremont Park in Broadstairs on Saturday, September 20, 11am-5pm**. **She Sells By The Sea** pre-loved clothing market returns to **Cinque Ports Saturday, September 27 11am-5pm**. 

Electronic music label **A Warp Is Happening** will host a night at **London’s Drumsheds**, the old Tottenham IKEA. Rock band Debdepan’s **female-led open mic night Fresh Out The Pan** returns to **Justines** in **Margate on Thursday, September 18**. Free Entry. 

Did someone say free nibbles? Head to **Northdown Brewery** on **Saturday**, **September 20 at 3pm** to eat free nibbles while you listen to talk, **Oh that might be interesting, by Margate Arc, which is also free**. Traipse over to **Canterbury** for the **Rising Tide Craft Beer Festival**, on **October 24-25**. Hosted by **Time and Tide brewery at Canterbury Cathedral Lodge**, there will be music, street food and beers, and lots of chat about hops. **Ramsgate community space Yellow Art Wall** hosts **artwork by Genevieve Pepper** this **September**. The mixed media exhibition is inspired by an “autistic sense of justice and experiences of mental health, homelessness, psychosis, seeking community and also things that make me laugh”. 

**Cockles and Muscles** have announced their **Halloween Ball**, taking place at **Margate Arts Club** on **Saturday, October 25**. Kicking things off at 7pm, this one is going to be high camp horror, so get creative with your outfits. Sandwich guys **Sarns** are **popping up at Riding Wine Co** (formally Streets) on Northdown Road on **Saturday, September 13**, for fine wine and gourmet sangers. 

**Margate Assembly** have teamed up with **Margate Off Licence, Chixstock** and **Margate Yacht Club** to put on a **day festival** at the club’s waterfront location. Beers, BBQ and tunes are all for a good cause, as the soiree will support the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and Margate Yacht Club. It’s on **Saturday, September 20, from 1pm-9pm**. Margate chef **Jessica Leah** will prepare a supper club out in the stars on **Friday, October 3**. Held at the **Chandler and Dunn farm, near Ash, Canterbury**. The evening starts with sunset canapes and a welcome cocktail before a sit down dinner at 7.30pm of coal cooked beed. For those who don’t want to drive after making use of the bar and fire pits, you can camp at a bell tent. Dreamy. £50 per head. Another **Halloween** night, this one is for the goths. **Filth Collective host Hexed at Margate Arts Club on October 31,** a night of crafting, burlesque, drag and djs playing goth, darkwave and post-punk. **Tonetic Records** heads to **Ramsgate Music Hall** to put on an all-ages label showcase, **Sunday, September 21**. Acts go from alt rock five-piece Take Too, to alternative singer songwriter Moss E. Doors at 7.30pm. Who doesn’t love a fungus fact? **Margate Mushroom Festival** takes place at **ARK, October 18-19**, for a weekend of all things fungi. While the programme is only and all about mushrooms, it is varied. How to eat, cook, forage and grow fungus will be covered, and you can eat and drink mushrooms, peruse the mushroom market, buy medicinal mushrooms and then party with mushrooms. Maybe not like that though, but probably also yes. Author, dreamweaver... plus actor **Garth Marenghi** is heading out on tour in support of his new book **This Bursted Earth**. **After School Band Club** launches at **Bar Nothing in Cliftonville** this week, led by musician **Melinda Bronstein**. **Kids aged 8-12** go into a room with instruments. They are now a band. They must write songs. Do they know how to? Doesn’t matter, they’ll work it out. **Janet District Council** will be hosting **Drag Bingo** at **Margate Beach Club** on **Friday, September 26**. The night will raise money for the **Margate Mayor’s Fund**, which supports local community groups and organisations.
